The Cottage

The Cottage is in Bewdley. It's a detached house next to our place, but you get it to yourselves. You're out in the countryside here, but it's not remote.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. One king-size bedroom and its shower room are on the ground floor, which is handy. Upstairs there are two more king-size rooms, one with another shower room, and a bunk bed room.

You come in straight into the main living space. It's all open plan: kitchen, dining table, sitting area. The bi-fold doors open onto the front terrace where the hot tub is. There are some stone steps down the side that lead to a separate sitting area at the back. The garden is enclosed.

Everything's included: bedding, towels, WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.

There's a shop and a pub about half a mile away. Bewdley itself is a ten minute drive. It's a nice old town on the River Severn. You've got the Severn Valley Railway there, and the West Midland Safari Park is basically opposite the town. I like the museum.

The Wyre Forest is on your doorstep for walks and cycling. Kinver Edge and the rock houses are about a twenty minute drive. You can get to Bridgnorth or Ludlow in under half an hour if you fancy a trip out. Kidderminster station has trains to Birmingham if you need the city.
