This is Strawberry Cottage. It’s on Lem Hill in Worcestershire. It’s a single bedroom place that sleeps three, all in the same room. So it's really for a couple, maybe with a small child.
It used to be a coach house and stables for the farm next door. It’s on its own, so it’s quiet. The view from the garden is of the Wyre Forest. It’s a good spot for sitting outside.
Inside, it’s been modernised. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well fitted out. There’s one bathroom. The stairs up to the bedroom are fine, but they’re the original ones so they’re a bit steeper than in a new house.
You’re right on the edge of the forest, so you can walk straight from the door. The Wyre Forest website has maps and information. The nearest pub that does food is about a mile away. There’s a shop two miles away in the village.
Bewdley is a nice town, about ten minutes by car. It’s by the river and has some interesting little shops. Bridgnorth is about twenty minutes away. For a bigger day out, Ludlow is maybe forty minutes. That’s where the castle and the food festivals are. Stratford-upon-Avon and the edge of the Cotswolds are within an hour.
For facilities, it’s got what you’d expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking right outside. The garden is enclosed. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
