It's called Three Batch Cottages, because there's three in a row. You'd have the middle one. It's in Chaddesley Corbett, which is a village near Kidderminster. It's Grade II listed, so the walls are thick and the doors are a bit low in places. It sleeps eight, but with three bedrooms, so some are bunk beds or doubles. There are two bathrooms. We take two dogs.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or dogs. There's parking for two cars off the road. Inside, it's got the things you'd expect: WiFi, a TV, washing machine, dishwasher. There's a games room in the outbuilding with a table tennis table. We leave a cot and a highchair there if you need them.
The pub is literally opposite the road. They do food and have music sometimes. There's a village shop and a tea room a minute's walk away. For a proper supermarket, you'd drive to Bromsgrove or Kidderminster, which are about ten minutes.
If you want to get out, the West Midland Safari Park is about fifteen minutes away. The Severn Valley Railway is in Bridgnorth, that's maybe twenty-five minutes. For a walk, Chaddesley Woods is right on the edge of the village. There are some National Trust places within half an hour, like Hanbury Hall and Kinver Edge.
Worcester is about twenty minutes' drive. Birmingham is further, maybe forty minutes depending on traffic.
The rating is 4 Star. It's clean and comfortable. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they turn and are a bit steep. Just so you know.
