Elder Cottage Cefn Cribwr

Elder Cottage is in Cefn Cribwr, north of Porthcawl. It's detached, which means you're on your own, no neighbours through the walls. You get a decent bit of garden, mainly lawn, with a patio area. It looks out over fields.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place. So it's clean, comfortable, and does the job, but it's not a luxury finish. There are USB points in all the rooms, which is handy.

There's a village shop and a community pub. They're about a ten-minute walk. The pub does food. For a bigger shop or a proper beach day, you drive down to Porthcawl or Trecco Bay. That's about ten minutes in the car.

The coast is the main draw. Rest Bay and Sandy Bay are good for surfing or just a walk. Ogmore-by-Sea, with its stepping stones and dunes, is about a fifteen-minute drive. For a longer coastal walk, you can pick up sections of the Wales Coast Path near there.

Inland, you've got Margam Park about twenty minutes away. It's a big country park with a manor house, deer, and an adventure playground. Useful if you've got kids with energy to burn.

Facilities: it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. You can bring one well-behaved dog. Parking is right outside.
