Blakeskerra Barn
Blakeskerra Barn is in Kenfig. It's a stone barn conversion for two people.
It's got a 4 Star rating. The space is open plan downstairs, with a wood burner. One bedroom and a shower room upstairs. We've put in a dishwasher and there's parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs.
The barn is right on the edge of the Kenfig National Nature Reserve. You can walk straight into the dunes from the gate. The reserve is a big area of dunes, wetlands and a lake called Kenfig Pool. It's good for birdwatching.
Sker Beach is about a twenty minute walk through the reserve. It's sandy and quiet because you have to walk to it. There are no toilets. Dogs are allowed all year.
There's a local pub a short walk away. It's an old building, from the 15th century. It serves food.
If you want to drive out, Margam Country Park is about four miles away. It's a large country park with a lot to see. Porthcawl is a short drive for more traditional seaside things.
