Lilybank Cottage is in Pinmore, South Ayrshire. It’s about six miles inland from Girvan.
It sleeps six, three bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s a detached cottage with its own enclosed garden and parking right outside. It’s got a 4 Star rating.
Inside, the main living space is open plan. There’s a wood burning stove for the cooler evenings. The views from the front windows are over fields and hills. You might see deer or hares.
The cottage is all on one level, which is handy. The shower room has a walk-in shower and there are some grab rails fitted.
Girvan is the nearest town, about a ten minute drive. There’s a harbour, shops, and a few places to eat. The coast there is rocky, but it’s a proper seaside town. For sandy beaches, you’d head down the coast towards Lendalfoot or Ballantrae, about a fifteen minute drive.
Ayr is about half an hour north by car if you need bigger shops or a cinema. For a day out, Culzean Castle is about twenty minutes away. The grounds and the sea views are very good. The hiking in the Galloway Forest Park is about forty minutes drive but worth it.
For facilities: there’s a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if needed. You can bring up to two dogs. There’s bicycle storage if you cycle, and the area is popular for that. The garden is enclosed but check it’s secure for your own dogs.
