Douneside Cottage Daviot

Douneside Cottage is a studio for two in Daviot, about eight miles south of Inverness. It's a detached, single-storey building that used to be the local telephone exchange. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The layout is open plan. There's a double bed, a sofa, a wood burner, and a kitchen area with a dining table. The bathroom has a shower. There is a TV, but there's no WiFi. Mobile signal can be patchy, depending on your network. It's quiet.

There's parking right outside. A storage shed is useful if you've brought bikes or outdoor gear. The cottage is on a quiet road with fields and trees around it.

Inverness is a 15 to 20 minute drive. You've got the castle, the museum, shops, and places to eat along the river. For a day out, Loch Ness is about half an hour's drive away. Culloden Battlefield is very close, maybe five minutes by car.

The area is good for walking, cycling, fishing, and golf. The coast and the Cairngorms National Park are both within a 30 minute drive.

Facilities: bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. On-site parking. No pets.
