Babbling Brook Barn Blithbury

Babbling Brook Barn is on our farm in Blithbury. It's a converted barn that overlooks the brook it's named after. We live on site with our kids.

It sleeps five. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The bathroom has a free-standing bath as well as a shower. It's a 4 Star place, which mainly means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It was all redone in 2023.

You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed, so that helps.

The main thing people ask about is the hot tub. It's wood-fired, so you have to light it and wait for it to heat up. It's not an instant thing. It's nice once it's going, especially in the evening.

Because it's a working farm, you'll see animals. You'll also see wildlife. We get deer in the fields, and you can hear owls at night.

The village of Abbots Bromley is a couple of miles away. It's got a couple of shops and pubs. They do the famous Horn Dance there once a year, which is worth looking up.

You're close to a few big things. Cannock Chase is about ten minutes by car. It's good for walks and mountain biking. Shugborough Estate is twenty minutes away if you like history and gardens.

For a day out, Alton Towers is roughly 35 minutes' drive. Drayton Manor is about 40 minutes.

Facilities wise: it's got a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot and highchair in if you need them.
