The Old Carthouse
The Old Carthouse is in Blithbury, Staffordshire. It's a detached barn conversion we did a few years ago. It's modern inside, but it's still a barn, so the rooms are good sized.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's useful. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The best bit is the garden. It's an orchard garden, quite big and private, with fields around it. There's a pizza oven out there. We leave instructions for it.
It's quiet here. You're down a track, so there's no passing traffic. The local pub is about three miles away in Abbots Bromley. They've got a few pubs and a shop there.
For days out, Uttoxeter is about eight miles for shops and the racecourse. You can get to the edge of the Peak District, like Dovedale, in under half an hour. Alton Towers and Drayton Manor are also within that drive. Further afield, you've got National Trust places like Calke Abbey and Sudbury Hall nearby.
Facilities wise: it's all on one level, there's parking right outside, WiFi, a washing machine, and we include the bedding and towels. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
