The kitchen is fully equipped, so if you fancy staying home one evening, you will have everything you need to cook yourself a great supper, especially if you have shopped for delicious local produce.
Pop out to the fantastic bakery, 7 minutes’ walk away, for morning croissants or fresh bread. If you prefer to eat out there are plenty of excellent restaurants. Wander around the independent homeware and fashion shops on Market Hill. Dine at a local restaurant before watching a film at the art-house cinema just a short walk away. If you bring your dog you will enjoy a morning walk along the banks of the River Deben, you can also enjoy a cruise along the river.
Woodbridge, a port and market town lies along the River Deben and is associated with the most important Anglo Saxon site in the UK, Sutton Hoo. This wa featured in the film ‘The Dig’ and has a working tide mill, one of only two in the country. If you are into the supernatural then Rendlesham Forest the site of an alleged UFO sighting in 1980 is only 5 miles away. Visit the Deben Peninsula with its picturesque villages and coastal heathlands. Shingle Street beach is a beautiful coastal stretch south of Woodbridge with plenty of birds and wildlife or a 40 minute drive takes you to the beautiful coastal town of Southwold. Just 10 miles away is the Easton Farm Park where you can stroll through the magical woods or meet the animal families. Woodbridge train station is approximately 7 minutes’ walk from the cottage. This station links to London Liverpool Street Station via Ipswich if you fancied taking in a London show.
