The Carriage House
The Carriage House is in Llanfoist, which is just outside Abergavenny. It used to be the stables for the big house next door, Llanfoist House. The main living room is big and has a gas fire in an inglenook fireplace. There's a second, smaller sitting room as well, which is handy if people want some quiet.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The ceilings upstairs have beams, which is nice, but mind your head if you're tall.
You can bring one dog. There's an enclosed garden with a patio and a BBQ. Parking is on site.
For facilities, you've got Wi-Fi, a TV, a dishwasher and a washing machine. We include bedding and towels. A cot and highchair are there if you need them.
There's a local pub within walking distance. Abergavenny is about a mile away. It's got shops, cafes, and a market on Tuesdays. The Sugarloaf mountain is right there for walking. The Brecon Beacons National Park starts just a few miles north, so you can be up on the hills very quickly.
Within half an hour you can drive to Crickhowell, the Big Pit mining museum in Blaenavon, or into Herefordshire. The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal towpath is nearby for flat walks or cycling.
