Draig's Cottage is in Abergavenny, right in the centre. It's in a small courtyard, so it's quiet, but as soon as you go through the gate you're basically on the high street.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a washing machine and bedding and towels are included. WiFi too.
You can bring two dogs. There's storage for bikes if you need it.
The cottage itself is a converted stables, so it's a mews set-up. The stairs are a bit steeper than in a modern house, just so you know.
There's a pub fifty yards away that does live music sometimes. Plenty of cafes and places to eat on the doorstep. You don't really need to drive to get a coffee.
For walks, you can be on the side of the Sugar Loaf mountain in about ten minutes by car. Abergavenny is good for that. The National Trust page for the area has walking routes. The Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains are all close by if you want a bigger day out. The Brecon Beacons National Park site is useful for planning.
If you like fishing or golf, that's available locally. They've listed horse riding too.
The cottage can be decorated for Christmas if you book it over that period.
