Oak Cottage

Oak Cottage is in Brynygwenin, near Abergavenny. It's a semi-detached place. It's small, just one bedroom with a double bed, but the open plan living area has a double sofa bed too, so it can sleep four if you need it to.

It's a 4 Star place, which means it's pretty comfortable and well looked after. It's got underfloor heating throughout, so it's always warm.

You can walk straight out the door into the countryside. Abergavenny is about two miles away. It's a good town for cafes and food. The famous food festival is there. There are a few hills right on the doorstep if you want to climb them, like the Sugarloaf. The Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains aren't far. Abergavenny is on a few walking routes like Offa's Dyke.

The living area has patio doors that open out onto an enclosed patio with some garden furniture. There's a lawn at the front and parking for one car.

Inside, the kitchen has everything you'd need. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. It's all open plan, which makes it feel quite spacious for a small cottage. There's a woodburning stove and a Smart TV.

We can provide a cot and a highchair if you're coming with little ones. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.

For things to do, the Brecon Beacons National Park website is useful. The National Trust looks after the Sugarloaf nearby. If you're heading into Cardiff, which is under an hour away, St Fagans is worth a visit.
