Tyr Ywen Cottage is near Llantilio Pertholey, a few miles outside of Abergavenny. It's a single cottage on a farm, surrounded by fields and a livery yard.
The cottage itself is fairly new, renovated in 2021 to a good standard. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, one double and one twin. There's one main bathroom. It's all on one level and is wheelchair accessible, there's a ramp to the front door.
Inside, the main room has glass doors looking out at the Sugarloaf mountain. There's a wood burning stove. The kitchen has what you'd need: dishwasher, washer/dryer, an oven. There's a Nespresso machine.
Outside, there's an enclosed patio with a hot tub and garden furniture. You can park two cars under a carport. There's an electric vehicle charger there and a lockable bike rack.
This is horse country. The place is part of a 31-acre livery. If you wanted to bring your own horse, they could arrange use of a paddock. You'd need to contact them to sort that out.
Abergavenny is about three miles away. There are shops, cafes, and a castle. It's a good base for walking or cycling. The Skirrid, Sugarloaf and Blorenge mountains are right there. The Sugarloaf is the prominent one you can see from the garden. For cyclists, the famous Tumble climb on the Blorenge is close by.
The Brecon Beacons National Park and the Black Mountains are about a 15-20 minute drive. The Offa's Dyke Path and other long-distance walks pass near here.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, wifi. The property is listed as luxury and 5 Star, which in this case means it's well finished and has things like the hot tub and underfloor heating.
