A short walk away from the Nythfa and you’ll find yourself by the scenic river, which is a beautiful spot for a walk or a relaxing picnic. There’s also the National Trust Grade II listed Ty Hwnt I’r Bont, a traditional Welsh tearoom, a spot which is visited by keen photographers who travel many miles to witness the ivy-clad building change from green to vibrant red as the Summer comes to an end, usually seen in early Autumn, this beautiful display is a wonderful sight. Within a few minutes’ drive you’ll find Llyn Geirionydd, a stunning lake ideal for paddle boarders and kayaks, there’s also the famous Marin bike trails here.
Betws-y-Coed is only 4 miles away and is known as the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. Down the coast and within easy reach is the historic town of Conwy, with a charming fishing harbour and many historic buildings to visit, including the imposing castle. You’re only a short walk from the cottage to the centre of Llanrwst, where you’ll find grocery stores, eateries, and friendly pubs to enjoy.
