Catkin Lodge is near Lunga, in Argyll. It's a detached bungalow so everything is on one floor, which is handy. It's up on a bit of a rise, so the view from the deck is pretty good. You look out over the water towards Mull.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. One bathroom, but it's a big one and it has a sauna in it. The sauna is electric, just turn it on. There's a separate loo as well. The main room is open plan, kitchen at one end. It has a wood burning stove. The deck has outdoor furniture.
It's quiet here. No road noise, just the wind and birds. The beach is a short walk downhill, maybe five minutes. You can walk along the coast from there. The village of Craobh Haven is about a mile and a half away by the road. They have a small shop and a coffee place. Ardfern is a bit further, maybe five miles by car, and has a pub, shop, and a café.
Oban is about a twenty minute drive north. That's where you'll find the big supermarket, lots of restaurants, and the ferry terminal for the islands. South of here, about nine miles, is Kilmartin Glen. It's full of ancient standing stones and burial sites. Worth a look.
For facilities, it has the basics covered. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for three cars. It's pet friendly. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
