Teasel Lodge

Teasel Lodge is in Lunga, which is in Argyll. It's a detached bungalow on a hill. You get a big deck out the front with outdoor furniture and a proper view over the sea towards Mull.

It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one is an en-suite. The rating is 3 Star, which is right. It's clean, comfortable and well-equipped, but not fancy. Everything's on one level, which is good. The entrance and doorways are wheelchair accessible.

The main room is open plan with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. There's a wood burning stove. Patio doors go straight out to the deck. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can park right outside and there's an electric vehicle charger.

The location is quiet. No road noise, just the wind. The beach is about a five minute walk downhill. You can take two dogs.

There's a pub serving food about three quarters of a mile away. Craobh Haven marina is a mile and a half along a single track road. They've got a small grocery shop, a coffee shop and a launderette.

For a day out, Oban is about a 30 minute drive north. It's a proper town with shops, restaurants, a cinema and ferries to the islands. Lochgilphead is the same distance south and has a swimming pool and golf course.

The history around here is good. Kilmartin Glen is within a 20 minute drive. It's full of ancient stones and burial sites. The Arduaine Garden is a National Trust site about three miles away, either by car or a nice walk along the track.

You're right on the coast for walking and wildlife. There's a riding centre nearby for trekking. Local fishing and boat trips are available from Ardfern, which is either a three mile walk over the hill or a five mile drive.

If you need more space, you can book this place together with Catkin Lodge and Siskin Lodge next door.
