Teasel Lodge

Teasel Lodge is in Lunga, near Oban in Argyll. It's a detached lodge on a small hill, so you get views. They're proper views, right across to Mull.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an en suite. The rating is 3 Star, which is about right. It's comfortable and clean.

The main room is open plan, with the kitchen, living and dining area together. Patio doors open onto a big deck. That's where you'll spend your time if the weather's good. There's a wood burner for the cooler evenings.

Down the hill, about a five minute walk, is the shore. It's rocky there, not a sandy beach. The area is quiet. You hear birds and the wind, not traffic.

The nearest place for basics is Craobh Haven, about a mile and a half down a single track road. They've got a small shop, a coffee shop, and a launderette. There's a pub and restaurant about three quarters of a mile away.

For a bigger day out, Oban is a 20 mile drive north. It’s got all the shops, restaurants, and the ferry terminal for the islands. Lochgilphead is the same distance south. Kilmartin Glen is close by, maybe a 15 minute drive. It's full of ancient standing stones and burial cairns. The National Trust gardens at Arduaine are a nice walk or a short drive away.

Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. It's wheelchair friendly to get in, but the site itself is on a slope. You can bring up to two dogs.

You can book it together with Catkin Lodge and Siskin Lodge next door if you're a bigger group.
