Aird House

Aird House is near Ardfern, on the Craignish peninsula. It's a detached house at the end of the road. The main thing is the view. You look right out over the Sound of Jura to Mull and the Corryvreckan whirlpool.

It sleeps six. There are four bedrooms. One kingsize upstairs, two singles upstairs, and a twin downstairs that can be made into a super kingsize if you ask. One family bathroom upstairs with a bath and shower, and a separate toilet downstairs.

The living room and the kitchen both have those big views. There's a wood burner in the living room. The garden is enclosed, with furniture, so you can sit outside. The sunsets from there are good.

You can walk down to a private bit of shoreline from the house. It's pebbly, not sandy. It's quiet. You'll see birds and maybe some wildlife.

Ardfern village is about two and a half miles away. It's got a pub that does food, a cafe, a takeaway, a small shop, and a post office. There's a marina there if you're into boats. You can arrange things like horse riding, sailing, or fishing locally.

For a bigger town, Lochgilphead is about a 21 mile drive. It has more shops, supermarkets, a swimming pool, and a golf course. Oban is further, about 27 miles north. That's where you get the ferries to the islands like Mull.

Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. No pets.
