The Factors House
The Factors House is our holiday let. It's next to our own house, right in the middle of Kilmartin Glen. The Glen is full of old stones, cairns, and carvings. It's a big area for history. You can walk out the door and be among them.
It sleeps ten, in four bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy for a group. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's on-site parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs. We also have a cot and a highchair if you need them.
There's a shop and a pub about a mile away, in Kilmartin. The pub does food.
You're well placed for getting about. The Crinan Canal is close for a flat walk. The coast isn't far either, for beaches. Oban is about 30 miles north if you need the ferries or a bigger town. Lochgilphead is eight miles for supermarkets and things.
For local history, Kilmartin Museum is the place to go. For general exploring, National Trust for Scotland has lots of properties and gardens in the area.
