Swansea bay is right at the bottom of the steps to the cottage with direct access into the sea at high tide. There you will see free swimmers, stand up paddle boarders and kayakers even in the winter months. There is a SUP Hut close by and tuition and SUPs can be easily hired. At low tide you have access to the beach and there are several sandy/pebble coves within easy walking distance. The Mumbles is a bustling seaside town with unique shops, cafés, acclaimed restaurants, nightlife and a fantastic beach. A local farmers market is held in the village on the second Saturday of every month selling local produce from the farms and waters around the Gower, which is not to be missed.
Walk to the picture-perfect Langland Bay, with its beach huts, rock pools and cliff-path walks or take a drive to explore the 19 miles of sandy coves along the peninsula, including the glorious Rhossili Bay. Within 20 minutes’ drive you can discover the historic Weobley Castle, meander along Llangennith and Rhossili beach, take some pictures of one Wales’ most photographed vista with Worms Head in the background, or play golf at Langland Golf Club.
