Shepherds Den
Shepherds Den is a converted shepherd's hut on our farm, near Newton le Willows. It's detached. You can park right next to it.
It's for two people. One bedroom with a king size bed. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. The log burner works well. There's a dishwasher.
The kitchen is small but has what you need. The terrace outside gets the sun and looks over our fields. You'll hear sheep. We leave some eggs and bread for you when you arrive.
It's a working farm, so there are tractors and livestock about sometimes. The entrance is level and there's no step, which is good if you have mobility issues, but the terrain around the hut is grassland.
You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed but it's not massive, just the terraced area.
Bedale is about three miles away for shops and a few pubs. Masham is ten minutes drive. The Black Sheep Brewery is there if you want a tour.
Richmond is about half an hour. It's got a castle and a good walk by the river. For a longer day out, the Aysgarth Falls are spectacular after rain. Fountains Abbey is less than an hour's drive.
