East Lewiston

East Lewiston is a semi-detached cottage in Lewiston. Lewiston is the bit just south of Drumnadrochit, up a lane off the main road. It's quiet but you can walk into the village.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modernised inside. There's a stone wall in the living room and a wood burner. The shed has logs for it.

There's an enclosed garden. It's not huge but it's private. Parking for two cars on the drive.

You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed but it's not Fort Knox, so if your dog is a jumper, be aware.

The village has a couple of shops and pubs, all a few minutes' walk. The Loch Ness Centre and the ruins of Urquhart Castle are down the road. You can get boat trips from there too. Historic Environment Scotland page for Urquhart Castle.

You're in the Great Glen. Inverness is about half an hour's drive. Fort William is about an hour and a half, depending on traffic. The Moray Coast with its beaches and whisky distilleries is within reach for a day trip, maybe 45 minutes to an hour to the east. Visit Highlands website.

For walking, there are forest trails right from the doorstep. You don't need to drive. For bigger hills you will.

Inside, it's got what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair.
