Temple House West is a ground floor apartment in Drumnadrochit, about a mile from the village. It's part of a big listed house right on the side of Loch Ness. You get good views of the loch from there.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable but not luxury. The garden is yours and it's hedged, so it's private.
Being ground floor is handy. The windows are the old, small-paned sort, which is nice but means you don't get big picture windows. The place is all on one level inside.
Drumnadrochit has a decent shop, a couple of restaurants, and a pub. It's about a twenty minute walk or a couple of minutes in the car. The village has the Loch Ness Centre and Urquhart Castle is just along the road.
If you're walking, the Great Glen Way passes close by. You can walk all the way to Inverness on it if you're feeling fit. For boat trips on the loch, you can book those in the village.
Inverness is about half an hour's drive. It's got everything you'd need: shops, more restaurants, a theatre, and the castle. From there, you can head north towards Sutherland or south towards Aviemore.
Further out, you can get to Fort William in under two hours, and the road to Skye is about two and a half. It's a good central spot for seeing the Highlands.
For facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
