Alright, so Burns Cottage is in Lewiston, which is basically part of Drumnadrochit on Loch Ness. It's a one-bedroom place, sleeps two. Detached, so it's just you.
It's all on one level, which is handy. Used to be an old farm building. They've done it up well inside, it's spacious for a cottage. You've got a private patio area with a table and chairs, and a barbecue there if you fancy it.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and has everything you need. The bed's made up for you, towels are there. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, the usual stuff. Parking is right outside.
Location is the main thing. You're on the edge of the village. There's a footpath from the cottage through the woods that takes you straight down to the lochside. It's about a fifteen minute walk, very quiet. In the other direction, you're a few minutes' walk from the village centre. There's a decent pub about 200 yards away that does food. More pubs, restaurants, and a shop are a short walk further on.
You're right in the middle of the Loch Ness stuff if that's your interest. Urquhart Castle is two miles along the road. For walking, you've got Glen Affric about a half hour drive away, it's beautiful. Inverness is 12 miles east for bigger shops or the station. If you fancied a day out to the coast to maybe see dolphins, the Moray Firth is about 40 minutes' drive.
