River Cottage
River Cottage is on my land, down by the river. It's a single-storey, detached place. You get the bit of garden out the front to yourselves.
It sleeps two. One bedroom with a kingsize bed, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's new and clean inside. Everything is on one level so there aren't any steps.
You can bring one dog. There's a proper enclosed garden so they can't get out.
There's a covered deck at the front. You can sit out there even if it's raining and look at the river. The river is at the bottom of the garden. You can fish from the bank if you want. We get a lot of birds down there.
Drumnadrochit is about a mile away. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and the Loch Ness Monster Exhibition is there if that's your thing.
You're right in the middle of things for Loch Ness. Inverness is about a 20 minute drive for bigger shops or the cinema. Fort Augustus, at the other end of the loch, is maybe half an hour. If you want mountains, Glen Affric is stunning and it's about a 45 minute drive.
What's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a TV, WiFi, and parking right outside. There's an electric car charger. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's a barbecue and a bike shed.
