Riverside Cottage

Drumnadrochit is on Loch Ness. The Loch Ness Centre is here, and you can see Urquhart Castle from the bay. Boat trips start from the village.
Inverness is about a 30 minute drive. You've got all the shops and things there.
If you want to go further, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George are within half an hour. The Moray coast, with its fishing villages, is about 40 minutes to the east. For walks, the forestry trails around Glen Affric are easily reached.
