Kestrel Barn
Kestrel Barn is one of a pair, along with Skylark Barn, on the edge of Swaffham. We live on site too. It's a barn conversion, so the ceilings are high and there's a lot of space. It sleeps eight over four bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own bathroom.
It's a five star place, which just means it's well equipped and finished to a good standard. You've got underfloor heating, a wood burner, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. There's a hot tub on the private patio. The garden is enclosed and there's parking right outside.
The approach is down a rough farm track. It's fine for normal cars, just take it steady.
Swaffham is about a fifteen minute walk. It's a proper market town with a big square. There are supermarkets, a few decent pubs, and places to eat. You don't need to drive if you don't want to.
The coast is about half an hour's drive. Places like Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham are good for long walks on the sand. Hunstanton is more traditional seaside, with amusements.
Inland, Thetford Forest is also half an hour. Good for cycling and walking. The Forestry England site has details on trails.
If you like stately homes, Sandringham is about forty minutes. In Norwich, which is forty five minutes, the cathedral and castle are worth seeing. The National Trust in the East of England page lists others.
The property is wheelchair accessible on the ground floor. We can take up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included, and we can provide a cot and highchair.
