Frenchmans is at Church Farm in South Acre, Norfolk. It's one of a few cottages here on our farm.
It's small, just for two people. One bedroom with a bathroom attached. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's simple and clean. The layout is open plan downstairs.
The place is quiet. You'll see barn owls around. The hamlet is a conservation area, so the fields around are protected. Good for walking or cycling on the lanes.
A short walk down the track gets you to the River Nar. There's a footbridge. It's shallow, kids like to paddle there.
Castle Acre village is about a ten minute walk. There's a pub by the green, and a couple of places for coffee. The village is known for the priory ruins and the castle mound. They're run by English Heritage.
For days out, the Peddars Way long-distance path starts nearby. The north Norfolk coast is about half an hour's drive. That's where you get the big beaches like Holkham and Brancaster, and the RSPB reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham. The Sandringham estate is in that direction too.
Included in the price: electricity, bedding, and parking right outside. No pets allowed.
