Frenchmans is a one bedroom cottage on Church Farm, in a hamlet called South Acre. It sleeps two people. There's one bathroom, which is ensuite. It's got a 3 Star rating.
The cottage is open plan downstairs. It's set in our grounds, next to the farm. It's quiet. You'll often see barn owls.
You're a short walk from the River Nar. There's a footbridge there, good for a paddle. The village of Castle Acre is about a mile away, either through the fields or along a quiet lane. It's got a Priory and a castle ruin, plus a couple of pubs and a village green. English Heritage have details on Castle Acre Priory.
For walks, the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path are close by. The north Norfolk coast is about a thirty minute drive. That's where you find beaches like Holkham and Brancaster, the RSPB reserves at Titchwell, and seals at Blakeney. Sandringham is out that way too.
The facilities are straightforward. It's got a shower, the bedding is included, there's parking, and all the utilities are covered. No pets. There's a local pub in Castle Acre.
If you're planning days out, National Trust Norfolk and Visit North Norfolk are useful.
