Holy Boys

Holy Boys is a cottage near Castle Acre in Norfolk. It's part of a small group called Church Farm Cottages, set in the owner's grounds next to farmland. It's quiet. You sometimes see barn owls and little owls around.

The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The garden is enclosed, so it's private.

The cottage is in a hamlet called South Acre. There's a river, the Nar, a short walk away. There's a footbridge and it's shallow, so people like to paddle there. It's about a fifteen minute walk to Castle Acre village along a lane or through water meadows.

Castle Acre has a village green, a couple of pubs, and some coffee shops. The main things are the ruins of a Norman castle and a big medieval priory. You can walk up to both from the cottage. The Castle Acre Priory is English Heritage.

For longer walks, the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path start nearby. If you drive for about half an hour, you can get to the north Norfolk coast. That's places like Hunstanton and Brancaster for beaches. You can see seals, there's the RSPB reserves at Titchwell or Snettisham, and you're near Sandringham. The Norfolk Broads are a bit further, maybe forty five minutes.

In the cottage, you've got a wood burning stove, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. There's WiFi. Bedding is included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. No pets.
