Riversdale Cottage St Fillans

Riversdale Cottage is in St Fillans, Perthshire. It's a detached house, so no neighbours on the other side of the walls. It sleeps three people. Two bedrooms, one is a kingsize, the other has twin beds. One shower room, which is a walk-in shower. It's all on the ground floor.

The place has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. It's not huge, but for two or three people it's a good size. There's a sofa, a dining table, and the kitchen has what you'll need. The wi-fi works.

The garden is the main thing. It's a proper garden with a patio area. You sit out there and you can hear the river. We get red squirrels and birds. Sometimes a deer walks past at the bottom.

St Fillans village is about a ten minute walk. It's on Loch Earn. There's a shop for basics, a coffee shop, and two hotels that do food. The Loch Earn Hotel has a bar with a good selection of whisky.

You're right in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The scenery is what you'd expect. Big hills, lochs, forests. You can walk straight from the cottage onto paths. There's a cycle path along the lochside towards Comrie.

The golf course is next door. It's a 9-hole course. Their café is open to everyone and does decent food. On the loch itself, you can hire kayaks or go fishing. There are a couple of little beaches for paddling.

If you want a day out, Killin is about a 25 minute drive. The Falls of Dochart are right there in the village. Callander is about half an hour away. It's a busy tourist town with lots of shops and places to eat. For something different, the Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre near Comrie is good if you have kids with you.

You can bring one dog. There's parking for one car right outside. All the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher.
