Ben Vorlich Lodge
Ben Vorlich Lodge is a detached lodge on the edge of St Fillans. It's spot on for four people, maybe five or six if you're happy with someone on the sofa bed. Two proper bedrooms, both with their own bathroom, which is useful.
It's a modern build. Everything's open plan downstairs. The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a big deck out the back with a hot tub. The view from there is straight down Loch Earn.
The village is small. There's a hotel with a bar and restaurant by the loch, and a shop at the other end. It's quiet. You get ducks on the lawn.
You're in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. For a walk, you can just step outside. The Ben Vorlich you can see is a proper Munro if you're up for that. For something gentler, the drive over to Killin or along to Lochearnhead is easy. Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park has all the official walking routes.
The nearest bigger places are Comrie, about ten minutes away, or Crieff which is twenty. Crieff has more shops and places to eat. Glenturret Distillery is there if you fancy a whisky tour. Further out, you can get to Perth, Stirling, or even Glasgow within an hour if you need to.
It's all electric. WiFi works. Parking is right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
