Lochearnside Lodge is in St Fillans, right on the side of Loch Earn. It's attached to our house, Lochearnside House, but it's completely private for guests. It has a four star rating.
The setup is a bit back to front, which is why the views are so good. The bedroom is on the ground floor. It has French doors that open onto a little patio area. The living room and kitchen are upstairs. That's where you get the full view of the loch. It's a proper view, not just a glimpse.
The loch is just across the road. You can use the foreshore and our private jetty. If you've got a dog, they can go too, we allow one well-behaved pet.
You don't really need to drive if you don't want to. There's a shop with a café about 150 yards away. The pub is the same distance, and there's a restaurant about 200 yards. The village is a conservation area, so it's quiet and the walks from the door are good. You can follow the old railway line to Comrie, or just go along the lochside.
If you do drive, you're in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. There's golf locally, and plenty of hills for walking. Perth and Stirling are both under an hour away for a bigger day out.
Inside, it's for two people. One bedroom with a kingsize bed, one bathroom. It has everything you'd expect: WiFi, TV, a washing machine, and parking. All bedding and towels are included.
