Lochearnside Lodge is in St Fillans, on Loch Earn. It's attached to the main house where we live. It's for two people.
The layout is upside down. The living room and kitchen are upstairs to get the best view of the loch. You look right out over the water from the sofa. The kitchen is small but it has decent appliances. The bedroom is on the ground floor. It has a kingsize bed and French doors that open onto a little private sitting area.
You're right in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The loch is just across the road. There's a private jetty you can use if you've got a boat. The village shop and a pub are a couple of minutes' walk away. There's a restaurant too.
You can walk out the door and along the lochside, or get onto the old railway path to Comrie. The local golf course is a good nine-hole one. If you want to climb hills, there are plenty within a half hour drive, like Ben Vorlich. You might see red squirrels or deer around. Ospreys fish on the loch in the summer.
For days out, you can drive to Glenturret Distillery or head towards Crieff. Perth, Stirling and Dunblane are all within an hour if you want cities or bigger shops.
Facilities: there's wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's a bike store if you need it. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped.
