Delamere House, this one's called The Snug. It's an annexe we built on the side, so it's all modern inside. It's all on one level, which is handy.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms. One double, one twin. One shower room. The living area is open plan. There's a drop-leaf dining table, a small but decent kitchen with a dishwasher, and doors that open straight out into your own garden. The garden's enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs. You get the whole thing to yourselves. It's got a patio with chairs.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well equipped and comfortable. It's clean and everything works.
The village pub is a couple of minutes' walk. It's proper village pub, does food. There's a play park just up the road for kids. The nearest shop is in Malton, about three miles.
Location is good. You're right in the middle of a lot of things. Eden Camp, the war museum, is five minutes down the road. Castle Howard is about ten minutes away. It's a big stately home, they do events like concerts. Good for a day out. National Trust Castle Howard.
Malton and Helmesley are market towns nearby, ten or fifteen minutes by car. Pickering is about twenty minutes. You can get the steam train from there across the moors to Whitby. That's a full day trip but it's good. North York Moors National Park.
If you want the coast, Filey beach is about half an hour's drive east. York is the same the other way, about thirty minutes. We're on the edge of the Wolds too, so there's plenty of walking right from the door.
Facilities wise, it's got parking right outside. WiFi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. We take up to two dogs, there's a charge for the first one.
