This is Wold View Cottage. It's in Thorpe Bassett, which is a small village in North Yorkshire. The name is accurate, you do get a view of the Wolds from the back.
It's a terraced cottage, originally built for farm workers. It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything is in good order and it's clean.
Inside, it's all open plan on the ground floor. The patio garden at the back is enclosed, so it's safe for kids or if you've got a dog. We don't allow pets, sorry.
The village itself is quiet. There's a local pub about a mile away in Rillington. They do food. Rillington also has a shop, a post office, and a fish and chip shop. For really good bread, there's a farm bakery in Scampston, about two miles away.
You're well placed for getting out. The Wolds are right there for walking or cycling. We've got a bike store if you need it. Malton and Pickering are good market towns nearby.
Within about half an hour, you can get to a lot. Castle Howard is close. So is the North York Moors Railway in Pickering. Eden Camp, which is a modern history museum, is worth a visit. The coast at Filey or Scarborough is about a forty-minute drive.
For a full day out, York is under an hour's drive. Whitby or Bridlington are similar.
In terms of what's here, it has what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a highchair.
