Rose Cottage Rillington

This is Rose Cottage in Rillington. It's an old barn, part of a pair that were converted about a hundred years ago or more. It’s got a thick stone wall on the right hand side which keeps it cool in summer.

It sleeps five, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both bedrooms have an en suite, which is handy. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's been finished to a high spec. Everything’s included, towels and bedding. It’s got underfloor heating throughout, run from renewable energy.

It’s all on one level inside, no steps. The doorways are wide and the shower is walk-in with a seat and rails. There’s a good level of access if you need it.

There's a proper enclosed garden for you, with a patio area. You can park right outside. We accept one well-behaved dog. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher.

There’s a shop and a pub about five minutes walk away. The pub does food. If you're booking with another family, the cottage next door, Granary Cottage, has an interconnecting door we can open. Book them together for up to thirteen people.

You’re about thirty minutes from York. Whitby and Scarborough are a similar drive for the coast. Flamingo Land is twenty minutes away. For local history, Eden Camp and Scampston Hall are nearby.
