The Stables

The Stables is in Beauworth, a little hamlet near Alresford. It's a converted barn, single storey, so there are no stairs to worry about.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which basically means it's been done to a high standard. It's light and open inside.

There's a small enclosed patio outside with a table and a BBQ. If you're coming with a bigger group, you can book the barn next door too, as there's a gate between the two gardens.

The nearest shop and pub are about a mile away in Cheriton. Alresford is a very pretty town about three miles away. It has tea rooms, shops, and walks along the river. It's famous for watercress. You can get a steam train from there, the Watercress Line.

Winchester is about eight miles. You've got the cathedral and the rest of it. The coast is doable, Hayling Island is under half an hour by car.

For walks, you're right in the middle of a lot of good paths. The National Trust's Hinton Ampner is close by. The South Downs aren't far either.

In terms of what's here: everything on the list is accurate. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
