The Stables

The Stables is in Beauworth, which is a small hamlet between Alresford and Winchester. It's a barn conversion, one of two next to each other. There's a gate in the fence between the gardens if you're booking both places together.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, both with walk-in showers. Everything is on one level, so no stairs to worry about. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well finished and comfortable. The main living area is open plan with big windows.

You've got your own enclosed patio area with a barbecue. There's parking on site, and an electric vehicle charger. The usual things are included: bedding, towels, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi.

Pets are welcome, up to two dogs.

The local shop and pub are in Cheriton, about a mile away. The pub does food. Alresford is a few miles the other way. It's a nice small town with places to eat and some independent shops. They have the Watercress Line steam railway there.

For walking, you're right next to the South Downs. The South Downs National Park site has good route ideas. Winchester is about eight miles away. You can visit the cathedral, or just walk around the city. The coast at Hayling Island is under half an hour's drive.

If you're looking for a day out, Hinton Ampner is a National Trust house and garden nearby. Marwell Zoo is about twenty minutes away, and the historic dockyards in Portsmouth are about forty minutes.
