Lovington Barn

Lovington Barn is in Itchen Stoke, Hampshire. It's a detached barn conversion. I designed it myself, so I've tried to make it work well.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own en-suite. Two of the doubles are big, with their own seating areas. The master has a bath and a shower. There's a downstairs cloakroom too.

The main living space is all open plan. It has underfloor heating, a wood burner, and a double-sided fireplace you can see through to the smaller sitting room. The kitchen has marble worktops and a wine cooler. There's also an internal lift, which is useful if stairs are a problem.

Outside is a large patio with views over the fields. It gets the sun in the evening.

The village of Ovington is just down the road, by the River Itchen. The nearest proper town is Alresford, about three miles. It's a Georgian market town with good independent shops and pubs. Winchester is seven miles away for the cathedral and more shops.

For steam train trips, the Watercress Line starts in Alresford. The South Downs National Park is right next to us. Within about half an hour you can get to places like Marwell Zoo or Winchester Science Centre.

Practical stuff: everything's included - bedding, towels, electricity, wifi. There's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and an electric vehicle charger. No pets, I'm afraid.
