Mallard Cottage is in Winchester, near the city centre. It's an old cottage, part of a terrace. It's next to our house, so we're around if you need anything. Our dog is here too, a friendly Retriever.
The cottage is for two people. There are two bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished. The ground floor is wheelchair accessible, though the cottage itself isn't fully adapted. The stairs inside are narrow, like most old cottages.
There's a shop and a few pubs about a minute's walk away. Winchester High Street is a five or ten minute walk from the door. The cathedral is about fifteen minutes on foot.
If you drive, you can be in the South Downs National Park in under twenty minutes. The New Forest is about half an hour away. Southampton is a twenty minute drive if you need a bigger shopping centre or the train station.
The cottage has a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive. No pets, I'm afraid.
For planning days out, these sites are useful: Winchester Cathedral and South Downs National Park.
