The Dairy is a cottage in Beauworth, Hampshire. It's not a village really, it's more of a hamlet. Very quiet. The cottage itself is a converted barn, all on one floor.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well finished and comfortable. Everything is new and works properly.
You've got a small enclosed patio garden out the back with a barbecue. It's private. There's a gate connecting to the garden next door, which is handy if you're booking both cottages together.
Inside it's open plan. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's underfloor heating. It's light because of the windows. We provide bedding and towels. You can bring two dogs.
The local shop and a pub are in Cheriton, about a mile away. The pub does food. A bit further on is Alresford, which is a nice town with cafes and walks along the river. They have the Watercress Steam Railway there.
For walks, you're right on the edge of the South Downs. The South Downs National Park website has good routes. The Itchen Way is close. For a historical day out, Hinton Ampner house and gardens is nearby.
Winchester is about eight miles. You can see the cathedral and the rest of it. The coast is under half an hour's drive to Hayling Island, or a bit longer to West Wittering for better sand. Portsmouth and Southampton are within reach if you want shopping or the historic dockyard.
Parking is right outside the cottage.
