Yew Tree Cottage Cheriton

Yew Tree Cottage is a thatched barn next to my house, in Cheriton. It's all on one floor. The main room is open plan, with beams. There's a step down to the bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has twin beds.

It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. You can see sheep in the fields from the windows, and there's a stream at the bottom of the garden.

There's a village shop and two pubs about five minutes walk away. The George is good for food.

The cottage is good for walks straight from the door. The Ox Drove track is nearby. For a longer walk, the South Downs National Park is about a 30 minute drive. Hinton Ampner house and gardens are just down the road, barely a mile.

Alresford is three miles away. It's a nice small town with shops and cafes. The Watercress Line steam railway is there. Winchester is about eight miles. That's where the cathedral is.

If you want the coast, Hayling Island is the nearest beach, about half an hour's drive. For a nicer sandy beach, West Wittering is about 40 minutes.

In terms of what's here: parking for one car, WiFi, a TV, a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
