Forest View Strathyre

It's called Forest View. It's a lodge just outside Strathyre. That's in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

The lodge sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and does the job. Everything's on one floor.

You can see the woods from the windows, hence the name. There's a wood burner in the living area. The heating's modern, so it's warm. The beds are comfortable.

Outside, you've got your own bit of garden. The place is on a small private park. It's next to the River Balvaig. You can fish there, no extra charge. The forest is right there too.

You'll see red squirrels. Sometimes otters. Very occasionally, a pine marten.

There's a shop and a pub about half a mile away in the village. Both are fine. The pub does meals.

For getting out, you're on a National Cycle Route. The Rob Roy Way walking route goes through Strathyre. You can walk or cycle straight from the door. Loch Lubnaig is nearby for kayaking or paddleboarding.

If you want to climb a munro, Ben Ledi is close. Ben Vorlich and Stuc a’Chroin are a short drive.

Callander is about nine miles for more shops and places to eat. Loch Katrine is lovely for a drive and a boat trip. Stirling Castle is about 24 miles. It's a good day out.

What's here: parking, wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
