The East Wing is part of Grove Hall, our house. It's separate, with its own front door. We're just outside Bodfari village. You get the lawn at the front, which looks out over the fields.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, four bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The description mentioned steep stairs, and it's right. There's a spiral staircase inside. It's fine if you take your time, but mind your head.
Bodfari has a pub that does food, about a mile's walk down the lane. It's decent. For shops, you need to go to Denbigh, about four miles away. They've got a supermarket and a leisure centre.
You're right on the edge of the Clwydian Range here. The Offa's Dyke Path goes past. For a good walk, you can head up Moel Famau. It's about a 20-minute drive to the car park.
The coast is about a half hour away. Prestatyn or Rhyl for a sandy beach. Llandudno is further, maybe 40 minutes, but it's a proper Victorian seaside town with a pier and the tramway up the Great Orme.
Ruthin is nice for a wander, with its castle and craft centre. Snowdonia is within an hour's drive if you fancy the mountains.
In the cottage: all the bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which is handy with a group. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. WiFi works. We've got a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking for a couple of cars on the drive.
