The Old School House Cottage is in Kettins. It's just a row of whitewashed cottages up a few steps from the village green. You've got a stream out the front, which is nice.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. The 4 Star rating means it's comfortable and more modern than some places round here. There's an open fire in the living room, which works well. The kitchen is at the back.
The garden slopes upwards from the patio. It's sunny and sheltered. You get the whole thing to yourselves.
There's a shop and a pub in the village, about a mile and three quarters away. They're fine. For a meal out, you'd drive to Coupar Angus, about three miles. It's a small market town.
You're on the edge of the Vale of Strathmore. It's good cycling and walking country, mostly farmland. For bigger hills, you're about half an hour from the edge of the Cairngorms. The Glenshee ski road is maybe twenty minutes' drive. Pitlochry is about forty minutes.
Glamis Castle is fifteen minutes away. Dundee is about half an hour, Perth about twenty-five minutes. The coast, like around Carnoustie, is about forty-five minutes.
As for the place itself: it's got the fire, a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. You can bring one dog. We leave a cot and a highchair if you need them.
