It's called Shepards Den. It's a one-bedroom barn conversion for two people, on our farm in Drayton. You get your own bit of patio. There's a big shared lawn as well.
It's set up as an upside-down house. The bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor. The living area and kitchen are upstairs. We did that so you get the best views over the fields from the main room. It's a nice, light space.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and finished to a good standard. Everything's clean and works. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
The stairs to the upstairs living room are open-tread. They're fine, but worth mentioning.
You're right on the edge of the South Downs here. You can walk straight out from the barn onto footpaths through the farmland and into the Meon Valley. East Meon village is about a mile and a half away. It's got a shop and a couple of good pubs that do food.
If you want to explore, Winchester is about a 20-minute drive. The New Forest is maybe half an hour. Portsmouth and the coast are easily under half an hour away. For planning walks, the South Downs National Park site is useful. For local history, Winchester Cathedral and the Historic Portsmouth websites have the details.
No pets, I'm afraid.
