Stable Cottage is on our farm in Drayton. It's one of three converted barns here. We live in the farmhouse.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own shower room. It's a 5 star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a good standard. You've got your own patio with a table and chairs.
The layout is upside down. The living room and kitchen are upstairs to get the views over the fields. It means you get a good outlook while you're having your tea. The stairs are fine.
You can walk straight out from the cottage onto footpaths. The Meon Valley Trail is right there. It's good for a proper walk or just a stroll.
The village of East Meon is about a mile and a half away. It's got a couple of shops and two pubs that do food. They're proper village pubs. West Meon is similar, not far.
If you want to go further, we're about half an hour from the South Downs. Good for walking and views. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is about 40 minutes, if you want to see the ships. Winchester is about 40 minutes the other way. Petersfield station is close if you need a train.
What's here: the kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine in the utility downstairs. WiFi works. We include all the bedding and towels. Parking is right outside. No pets, sorry.
For planning days out, these sites are useful: South Downs National Park and National Trust Hampshire.
