Rams Cottage is in Galltair, right on Glenelg Bay. It’s a two-bedroom place, sleeps four. There’s one bathroom.
The main point is the location. You’re right on the water, looking out over the bay. The tide comes and goes, and you do sometimes see birds and otters out there.
Inside, it’s got everything you need. It’s comfortable, and it’s clean. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s well looked after. We’ve put in a dishwasher and a washing machine. There’s a TV, and WiFi that works okay. All the bedding and towels are included.
Outside, there’s a garden area with a bench and a BBQ. You can park right next to the cottage.
The village of Glenelg is about a mile away. There’s a pub that does food, a small shop for basics, and a restaurant. The beach is a short walk down the lane.
You’re in a good spot for getting over to Skye. The Glenelg ferry to Kylerhea is a short drive. It’s a small ferry, runs in the summer, and you can just drive on. Saves going all the way to the bridge.
If you’re walking, you’re on the coast straight away. There’s local fishing. For a proper day out, you can drive to Eilean Donan Castle, or get into Glen Affric. It’s all within about half an hour. Plockton is nice for a wander, about forty minutes.
Facilities are all listed. We’ve got a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I’m afraid.
