Fisherman's Cottage
Fisherman's Cottage is in Stairhaven. It's right on the edge of Luce Bay. You can see the Rhinns of Galloway straight across the water.
The cottage itself sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's in good order. It was built around 1850. There aren't many houses here, so it's quiet.
You get the garden to yourselves and it's enclosed. There's a private slipway if you've got a small boat or a kayak. Parking is on site.
Inside, it's got what you need. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Electricity is included in the price.
Stairhaven is very small. It's just a few houses. For a shop or a pub, you'd drive to nearby villages like Port William or Glenluce. Both are about ten minutes away.
The coast path is right there for walks. The Mull of Galloway lighthouse is a really good trip, about half an hour's drive south. There's good golf at St Medan, which is five minutes away, and the championship course at Portpatrick is roughly thirty minutes.
If you want to explore further, the Galloway Forest Park is about forty minutes north. The National Trust for Scotland's Threave Garden is near Castle Douglas, about a forty-five minute drive.
The cottage isn't suitable for pets, sorry.
