Culquhasen
Culquhasen is a farmhouse on our working farm in Auchenmalg. It's detached, so you won't have neighbours on the other side of a wall. The main thing is the view. You look out over the fields to the sea.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. There are two living rooms, which is useful if you've got a bigger group. One of them has an open fire. We've got a hot tub outside. It's under cover.
You're on a farm, so you'll see sheep and hear tractors. The road to the house is a farm track. It's fine for normal cars, just take it slow.
The coast is about a mile away. There are beaches. Sandhead is close. For a proper day out, the Logan Botanic Garden is worth the drive. If you like walking, the Southern Upland Way passes nearby. The Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour away for more serious walks.
Stranraer is 20 minutes by car. That's where the supermarkets and the leisure centre are. You can get the ferry to Ireland from there if you fancy it.
Inside, you've got the basics: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. We allow two dogs. The garden is enclosed.
