Culquhasen
Culquhasen is a farmhouse on our working farm just outside Auchenmalg. It's detached so you've got your own space. The views are really the thing here, over fields and out to the sea.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. There's two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been refurbished so everything's in good order, but it's still a proper old farmhouse, not a show home. There are two living rooms, one has an open fire.
The hot tub is outside on the patio. You can sit in it and look at the view. The garden is enclosed.
You're about a mile from the nearest beach. The local pub and a restaurant are also about a mile away. The shop is four miles, so it's best to come prepared.
Stranraer is a 20 minute drive for bigger shops, the swimming pool, or if you fancied a day trip to Ireland on the ferry.
For things to do, the coast around here is good for walking. The Southern Upland Way passes nearby. RSPB Mull of Galloway is brilliant for seabirds. The Logan Botanic Garden is worth a visit if you like gardens. There's fishing and golf if that's your thing.
Inside, it's got the basics: WiFi, a TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
We allow up to two dogs. There's a highchair if you need one.
