Sheldons Place Patrington Haven

Sheldons Place is a holiday home on the Patrington Haven Leisure Park. It's a caravan, but it's detached and fairly modern. Sleeps six, but that's with using the sofa bed in the living area. There are two proper bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower.

The main thing is it has a private hot tub on a decked area. The garden around it is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or kids. You can bring two dogs.

The park itself has a bar and a restaurant. There are fishing lakes you can walk around. There's also a new leisure centre with a pool and gym you can pay to use. Everything on the park is card payment only, no cash.

It's very flat here, good for cycling or easy walks. The sea is about a mile and a half away at Withernsea. It's a traditional seaside town with a pier, amusements, fish and chips, that sort of thing.

Spurn Point is about twenty minutes drive. It's a long spit of land with a nature reserve and a lighthouse. You can walk out to the point, but check the tide times. The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has the details.

If you want a proper day out, Burton Constable Hall is about half an hour away. It's a big stately home with gardens. Hull is around forty minutes, where you've got The Deep aquarium and the old town.

Inside, it's got what you'd expect. TV with streaming services, WiFi, an open plan living area. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but don't expect luxury. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
