Winship Cottage is in Winestead. It's a little hamlet a few miles south of Hull and about 15 minutes' drive to the coast at Withernsea.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom upstairs. It's a 5 Star property, which means it's been done to a high standard inside. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're steep. You might want to hold the banister.
Downstairs has stone floors, which are nice and cool, and an inglenook fireplace. The kitchen is small but has what you need, including a dishwasher. There's a washing machine in a separate utility room, and that leads to a ground-floor shower room. Outside, there's a proper enclosed garden at the back with a wood-fired hot tub. You'll need to get that going yourself. There's a boot room for coats and wellies, and space for bikes.
There's a public footpath that goes right past the cottage, through the farm next door and out into the fields. Good for a walk without driving anywhere. The nearest pub is a short drive away.
Withernsea is about five miles east. It's a traditional seaside town with a promenade, a beach, and a lighthouse you can go up. Hull is 15 miles west. It's got The Deep aquarium, good museums, and the usual shops and restaurants.
Heading north up the coast, Hornsea is about 25 minutes away. It has a large freshwater lake called Hornsea Mere. Beverley is inland, maybe 30 minutes' drive. It's a nice market town with the Minster and a racecourse.
Included in the price are all utilities, bedding and towels. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. There's parking for one car right outside.
